The annual meeting of the UN Group of Friends of Mediation, co-chaired by Turkey and Finland, was convened on 27 September 2018 on the margins of the UN 73^rd General Assembly. The event was co-chaired by H.E. Minister Çavuşoğlu and H.E. Timo Soini, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland.

This year’s meeting focused on the role youth can play in mediation processes.

Turkey, which has taken on leading roles within the UN and also within the OSCE and the OIC in mediation-related activities, will continue her strong support to the UN efforts in this field, in cooperation with the members of the UN Group of Friends of Mediation.
