Some KRG media published completely groundless and unfounded claims as if Foreign Minister H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said "Turkey would recognise the KRG's independence conditionally".

We have expressed in every platform and at every level, our unambiguous views that preservation of Iraq's territorial integrity and political unity is among the irrevocable principles of our foreign policy and that we are against the KRG's decision to conduct an independence referendum. There is no change in our position.
