Houda Emma Kharat, Italian citizen who was kidnapped to Aleppo in 2011 by her Syrian father, has been brought from Syria to Turkey yesterday and she has left our country for Italy today, upon the initiatives of our Ministry and cooperation of relevant authorities.

Our authorities have followed the case in close cooperation with their Italian counterparts including the deportation of the perpetrator to Italy and have made necessary arrangements to ensure the reunification of 7-year-old Emma with her mother by taking humanitarian aspects into consideration.
