We condemn the Israeli Government’s approval to build a total of 454 new housing units in the illegal settlements in occupied East Jerusalem.

Such acts, which disregard international law, frustrate the efforts for the establishment of permanent peace. We expect that Israel puts an end, as soon as possible, to its unacceptable efforts for the construction of new settlements, which has been accelerated recently.
