General Terms and Provisions of Turkish Visa Practices
Sweden:Official and Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the first entry date.
Based on a valid reason such as owning property in Türkiye, Swedish Citizens who wish to reside in Türkiye for more than 90 days must apply for residence permit in Türkiye at the local authorities (Directorate General for Migration Management).
Swedish citizens who were fined and forbidden entry to Türkiye due to violation of the 90 days limit must apply for a visa by following the instructions below:
Visitors who are not exempt from entry visa must obtain their visas before travel over www.evisa.gov.tr. Visitors who are not eligible for e-visa should follow the below instructions:
Beginning from 5 January 2016, all kinds of applications for Turkish visas have to be made through the Pre-Application System of Turkish Sticker Visa (www.visa.gov.tr).
Data required for visa applications will be uploaded to the system by the applicants. Following the online application, the applicants should apply to the Turkish Missions by appointment (the system gives an appointment at the end of online application) to complete the procedures including submission of their visa application forms duly signed and their passports as well as original copies of the application documents that have been already uploaded on the system.
